Is Your Diet Improving or Hurting Your Health?

These days people are becoming more aware of their health.  Everyone wants to be fit and healthy and most are trying to lose weight in one way or another.   Personally I am trying to increase my weight.  I am exploring the option of weight increase supplements.

Most weight gain supplements come in powder form.  They are blended into a drink and eaten every day.  You should always consult a trainer about which supplement to try and the amount you should use.  This will help you avoid lengthy trial and error periods.

If you don’t want to take these supplements but want to add muscle mass you need to add more protein to your diet.  This is the first step towards gaining muscle.  Calculate how many calories you consume in a day and add five hundred more.   Don’t add junk calories.  These calories are meant to be building your body.  Some good sources of protein are poulty, fish or lean red meat.  The best method to gain muscle is to eat 5-6 small meals spread throughout the day. This will get y0ur metabolism fired up and in to high gear.  It will also give you the energy you need to get through your work-outs.

Have you recently been diagnosed with diabetes?  You are not alone, one in four Americans are not living with this life altering disease. You need to be careful to regulate your diet.  One of the best ways to do this is to count calories.  1800 is good for the average adult male.  Check out the 1800 calorie diabetic diet.  This diet will help you take measured steps towards reducing fats, carbohydrates and calories.  The basis of the 1800 calorie diabetic diet are lean proteins like chicken, turkey, fish and nuts, These are low-fat proteins that your body can easily process.
